What happens when
Doing the AI on your own device, and in an enclave we cannot read, is genuinely difficult. It is also the only reason any of the rest is trustworthy, so it is what we are building now, before anything else. We would rather ship a real look-back late than a shallow one early.
The on-device data pipeline and encryption model, and the first sources importing locally: messages, calendar, Spotify, a one-tap daily mood, plus health and photo metadata read on the device. In parallel, the EXIST application goes in through the university.
A small group of testers gets the timeline end to end. We judge it on three things, not on download counts: whether people actually finish connecting a source, whether the first session produces a genuine look-back worth having, and whether they come back after a week.
Subscriptions go live and retention gets properly instrumented. The reflection assistant arrives with in-enclave inference, a first-use notice that you are talking to software, and the output safety filter that keeps it from ever making medical-sounding claims.
App Store and Google Play, bilingual German and English. We start in the German-speaking market on purpose: it is where the privacy conversation is sharpest, and where the legal right that makes our onboarding possible exists cleanly.
